About The Aurora Backlashers...
A very active and growing club, The Aurora Backlashers are in their 20th year with 27 members. In 1991, Blackie Barton and Bill Berry decided Aurora needed a second bass fishing club So around the kitchen table at Robert Bowling's home, the Aurora Backlashers was established . The first official meeting was February 5, 1991, with 18 members present. Blackie Barton was elected president, Dave Hicks, vice-president and Robert Bowling, secretary. Founding member Bill Berry and Kent Hedrick who joined later that first year are still active in the club.
